"Man is condemned to be free..."

Today marks the 100th birthday of Jean-Paul Sartre, father of existentialism and considered by many to be the one of the greatest philosophers of the twentieth century. Unfortunately, I am rather limited in my knowledge of Sartre and of existentialist thought, having managed to successfully avoid taking a course on existentialism during my time as a philosophy student at UW. Thus, no more on M. Sartre except the following quote, which appears in his book Being and Nothingness: 'Man is condemned to be free; because once thrown into the world, he is responsible for everything he does.'

I tried my first Soduku puzzle today. Find one in the the Star. If you can't solve their daily crossword, you should most certainly be able to solve the Soduku.
