"Hell is empty and all the devils are here"

Saw Shakespeare's The Tempest in Stratford today. It had been a long time since I'd been to a play, so just watching a play was great. The play itself was not bad, not extraordinary either. Great costumes and some good acting generally. I thought Prospero's turn from vengeful to forgiving was rather easy.

The audience seemed to have really enjoyed it though. I think to really get the most out of watching a Shakespearean play you should have already read it so that you can anticipate and appreciate how lines you are already familiar with are delivered and so on.

In any case, a $20 ticket for seats that are between $80 and $100 regular price is an excellent deal.
