Chinua Achebe wins Man Booker International Prize

I was pleased to see that Nigerian author Chinua Achebe has won the Man Booker International Prize (which is different from the Man Booker Prize). Things Fall Apart, his most famous work (and the only one I've read), is the starting point for anyone interested in discovering what Africa is all about. Its depiction of African tribal society coming into contact with British settlers and a new religion is still relevant today, for Africa and elsewhere.
