The Tech Nomads

Nadeem Mazen, a friend of mine at MIT and three of his friends are spending their summer travelling from London, England all the way to Mongolia, a distance of around 13,000 km, in what they say are 'cars that are envious of your lawnmower.' Their goal: have fun and raise money for two charities: Send a Cow and Mercy Corps. Check out their web site and drop in a few pennies if you're up for it.
