A story about the City of Toronto's plans to extend the subway line to York University. Unfortunately, going by Toronto's standards and speed of operation (remember how long it took for the tiny new Sheppard line stretch to get done), it's a given that I'll be gone by the time this new extension is built and ready.

Also, the premier defends proposed Shariah-based family arbitration in Ontario, as protests against the law are due to be held in Canada (including Waterloo) and many European cities tomorrow.

Lastly, check out the Star's special section online on this year's Toronto International Film Festival that kicks off tomorrow. Some films that caught my eye: Roman Polanski, Oliver Twist; Sydney Pollack, Sketches of Frank Gehry; Thumbsucker; David Cronenberg, A History of Violence; The Smell of Paradise; and Dave Chappelle's Block Party.
